wow, just saw the news come over my rss bits...activated my phone, downloaded the app on my pearl 8130 (sprint), tutorial was *very* helpful and worked perfectly going in and out of the camera, upload was slick and fast and it work seamlessly, zero glitches, nothing funny. it just works. having this on my blackberry is awesome for business card and whiteboard capture! thank you.

i also like integrated identity - meaning i don't 'login' to the app because i've apparently downloaded a uniquely identified version from m.scanr.com...very nice.

quick note: if i go to m.scanr.com there is no obvious 'logout' button...is that intentional?

so now, will you please put up some nice links or tutorials on how to best capture a business card or whiteboard or document in assorted lighting situations? my business card came out cruddy, but i think i set default for email to reduce size of image (you may want to put a BIG note up for users about this - many cams have option to shoot at 2+ megapixels but compress for email)

Dave, thanks for the nice words. A lot of the work we do at scanR is intended to make things easy for you no matter what phone you have or where you live. This often goes unnoticed.

For tips on capturing photos for scanning, see:

www.scanr.com/doc.aspx

Keep in mind that need an auto-focus camera to capture documents, books, newspapers, business cards or anything with fine text.

When is this coming out for the iPhone?
