We updated several things last night, including the mobile and computer websites, but the biggest change was to the scanR Documents processing. Now, if you send a high resolution photo to doc@scanR.com, you'll get a much better looking copy in PDF. Try it and you'll find that we preserve the photos and graphics on the page and render fonts more accurately. The end result is that your documents will look more like the originals than they did in the past.
Using our favorite example, you can see that difference that preserving the photos provides.
A photo within the document processed now
A photo within the document processed before
Also, you'll see greater detail in the way fonts are displayed. Again, on the same document, you can really see the difference in the quality of the text.
Text processed now (zoomed)
Text processed before (zoomed)
To try it yourself, just send a 3 megapixel or better photo of a document to doc@scanR.com.
